Workshops & Classes:

The Stories We Carry: Autobiographical Dancemaking

How do we transform lived experience into performance? Through movement, writing, storytelling, improvisation, and collaborative feedback, participants develop original material rooted in personal experience. This workshop invites artists to mine their own memories, questions, contradictions, and curiosities as a starting point for creating honest, embodied performance.

Through movement, language, observation, and collaborative problem-solving, participants investigate how ideas can be translated across different bodies, perspectives, and experiences. Together we'll explore how identifying the essential intention behind movement can unlock new creative possibilities, expand our choreographic toolkit, and reveal that there is rarely just one right way to move, communicate, or understand.

A professional development workshop for dance educators, teaching artists, choreographers, and facilitators looking to make their teaching more inclusive, engaging, and accessible. Together we'll explore how language, imagery, demonstration, sound, and task-based learning create multiple entry points into the same material, allowing dancers with different bodies, abilities, and learning styles to access movement more deeply. Participants will leave with practical strategies and concrete tools for translating movement across bodies, abilities, and learning styles while maintaining technical and artistic rigor.

Designed for workplaces, organizations, and community groups, this workshop uses movement, theatre games, and collaborative problem-solving to strengthen communication, trust, creativity, and team cohesion. No dance experience required.

Every group is different, and so is every class I teach.

If you'd like to learn more, ask a question, or imagine something together, I'd love to hear from you.
