Eva Louise

A performer sits barefoot on a small wooden upside down drawer, smiling as they read a letter. Wearing a patterned shirt and black pants, they are surrounded by scattered papers and documents on the floor against a simple gray backdrop.

Inspired by hundreds of love letters written to a young female heartthrob in the late 1940s, Eva Louise uses storytelling, luscious movement, and humor to bring to light the glamorous and sometimes tumultuous inner life of Eva Louise and her 11 lovers. Created as part of Joe Goode Performance Group's Feedback Program in Spring 2018.
